Password Cracking Device Prop

(as seen in the Warehouse 13 TV series)

This is another of the "secret" gadgets used by the agents from Warehouse 13. This one has only been seen a couple of times so far in the show. There has been no mention in the show of who invented it so it doesn't have a fancy name.

It seems that the main body of the prop is probably an old brass desktop perpetual calendar as far as we can tell. Given that the likelihood of ever finding another example of this exact calendar is very low, it might be hard to make a really close copy. It is basically a tube with windows for the numbers and brass end caps. The numbers which roll over as it searches for a password are obviously from the odometer in a vehicle speedometer. Aside from that there is a light in one end to show it's connected and a tube with a USB plug fixed at other end.

My plan is to have the numbers rotate for about 5 seconds when it is plugged into a computer's USB port then stop. Though it doesn't change from what we've seen in the show, it might be good to have the light change from red to green when the password is "cracked".

More when I can back to writing this.
